    Fabulous location and a luxurious feel. The spa facilities are excellent and provide free access during certain hours. The room was clean and elegantly decorated. Staff were attentive and helpful throughout our stay.

    Warm breakfast choices with yoghurt, vegan options, bacon, quiet atmosphere. Very good service, airy deluxe double room with most comfy bed, the bathroom, central Bath.

    We liked traditional and excellent breakfasts and lovely views!

    The deluxe twin room was tastefully decorated and perfect for what we needed. Hotel's location was perfect and amazing, close to the city centre.

    Really good spa and friendly service

    The staff were genuinely attentive, especially when they helped celebrate my husband's birthday. The room was comfortable and elegantly decorated, perfect for a relaxing getaway. One minor issue was the limited dining options nearby, which could be improved.

    The spa hours are absurdly restrictive, essentially punishing guests with extra fees for basic access!!! Room temperatures vary too much for comfort. It's not unreasonable to expect stable heating!!! Where's the attention to detail in room cleaning?

    Couples seeking relaxation will enjoy it

    I gotta say the spa was rejuvenating, I mean, the steam room worked well and fresh towels with essential oils? A bloody delight. Plus, when I checked in, I was welcomed with a glass of Champagne, and that set the tone for the whole damn stay.

    Sure it wasn't cheap but at least it felt worth the cost.

    Access to the spa is limited for hotel guests, resulting in crowded conditions. Rates for breakfast and in-room dining felt steep compared to local alternatives, especially when you could find a good meal nearby for less. It would have been nice to have more space to get ready in the room, as there was no substantial mirror or dressing table. Even on special occasions, there seemed to be no acknowledgment or personal touch, slightly disappointing.

    The gainsborough has a beautiful spa with access to thermal waters, perfect for relaxation. The staff were friendly and quick to help. They even ensured my husband had a wonderful birthday! The suite was super comfy, too.
